Week Commencing: Sat 23/04/2022

Superbowl!!!

The Sun is shining and the water temperatures are going up sharply, with the fishing  definitely benefiting from it.

It was clear from the start of the week that there was a lot of fish in the central bowl,

With plenty of fish showing whilst doing our walkaround.

Mike Kalarass fishing in Tea Party 2 was first off the mark and caught steadily all week landing 31fish.

His biggest being Big Shack at 53lb 8oz, he backed this up with 6x 40s,2 x 30s and 22 smaller residents.

Mike fished Slow Sinking maize over the top of house maize, hemp and cell boilie crumb, using combi rigs.

Not to be outdone his neighbour and good mate in Tea Party 1 Elliot Power was also quick off the mark, landing several fish.

His biggest being big Ben at 52lb and including 3x 20s 2 x30s and 1 x40.

Elliot fished slip D, S with slow sinking maize and mainline toppers over crushed cell and link boilies, mixed with house maize.

Next up was Deriece Smith in Turtles Corner.

Deriece kept his approach tight fishing all 3 rods tight at 21 wraps and spombing accurately, with house particle mix.

He was soon rewarded with “The Grim Reaper” at 45lb he backed this up with 1 x30 and another 9x20s.Deriece used a mixture of pop ups on spinner rigs.

Craig Morgan in “The Beach” left it late to smash his P B by 20lb in the form of “Frederick” at a back aching 47lb fishing 21 wraps to the bund using a boilie only approach and backing it up with a couple of 20s, Craig was using white pop ups over cell boilie.

Patrick fink in Billy’s managed 4 double figure fish, with Mark Wyton managing 2 fish up to 22lb in Double Boards.

Last but not least was Kesley March in shingles managing 2 fish, with the biggest being “Darky” at 43lb 4oz.

All in all not a bad week, with good temperatures forecast and the fish really starting to get there heads down it looks good for the coming weeks.

Until then

Tight lines
