Week Commencing: Sat 21/04/2018

Another cracking week on Gigantica Road lake, there were over 70 carp landed Including 2 x 50’ and 13 x 40’s by the end of the week. The day time temperature was up to 26 degrees most days, creating a real summer holiday feel to the week and the evening temperature dropped to a chilly 10 degrees. The wind was blowing from the west for most of the week making it perfect condition for fishing, the lake temperature was 14 Degrees.

Andrew Mcgregordecided to go into Turtles Corneras there was a good few fish out of there the week before, he started of by casting his left hand rod along the left hand margin, as carp were showing there as he was setting up, it wasn’t long before he was into his first carp of the session, a 25lb common shortly after that he had a nice 31lb mirror. The next morning Andrew was in again and wow what a fish to start the morning a cracking 42lb common, and it was only cast out in front at 60 yards. This came on an IQ D rig with a size 4 korda Kurv hook with a Gigantica Fyber wafter which was soaked in the New Butter Corn Goo. He was putting out around fifty boilies with his throwing stick over the area. Andrew then decided to put his other rods out on Zigs as there was fish crashing straight out in front, the next day Andrew had a 29lb mirror and a 22lb mirror both from the left hand margin, and again on the IQ D rig with a Fyber wafter soaked in Butter Corn Goo. Over the week he landed 8 carp.
